Axton is a new playable character in Borderlands 2 revealed in the "Launch Date Trailer". Not much is known of him.

From his appearance, he would be of Soldier class, and wield heavy weaponry. He has a Scorpio-Turret like robot helping him, but the turret appears much much heavier, sporting multiple gun barrels, as well as a dual array of rockets
