Siren

The Siren is one of the confirmed classes for Borderlands 2, being the only class to 'officially' return from Borderlands 1. Maya will be the playable Siren in Borderlands 2, and her active skill will be Phaselock; the ability to generate a 'bubble' of distorted space and trap enemies.
The Siren in this game will serve the role of a 'mystical healer', similar to that of more traditional RPG-style games. Her abilities will allow her to manage Crowd Control and Healing, but at the same time still being able to inflict massive damage in her own right.
